Annual and Quarterly Charts of Rental and Homeowner Vacancy Rates and Homeownership Rates.2010 housing estimates are being revised.Since new programs software collection of data are available,the CPS/HVS effective third quarter 2009, housing inventory estimates will be revised.CPS/HVS estimates are being revised back to the second quarter 2000 CPS/HVS historical table series. Housing inventory estimates, prior to the second quarter 2000, have not been revised.
The 2009 estimates in the CPS/HVS housing inventory data series are now based on the independently produced vintage 2008 estimates that are projected forward through 2009. 2010, new independent housing estimates will be issued by Population Division and available for controlling our CPS/HVS housing inventory estimates. When these new independent estimates become available (vintage 2009) the CPS/HVS quarterly and annual housing inventory estimates will be revised.
